18 September 2026 — Applications open for the January 2027 intake

Applications are now open for the January 2027 regular intake across all three degree programmes. Apply at least four weeks before the intake begins so that academic records can be verified in time.
- Bachelor of Education in Arts — KCSE mean grade C+ with at least C in English and Mathematics. Four years. KSh 78,000 per year.
- Bachelor of Arts in Theology with Entrepreneurship — KCSE mean grade C plain. Four years. KSh 72,000 per year.
- Bachelor of Business Administration with Entrepreneurship — KCSE mean grade C+ with at least C in Mathematics and English. Four years. KSh 82,000 per year.
Diploma programmes require a KCSE mean grade of C- and certificate programmes require D+. A confirmation deposit of KSh 10,000 for degrees, KSh 8,000 for diplomas and KSh 5,000 for certificates is payable on accepting an offer. Full amounts are on the fee structure page.
16 September 2026 — What the Letter of Interim Authority changes for applicants

Kamagambo now admits students directly to its own degree programmes. Before 15 September 2026 the institution operated as Kamagambo Adventist Teachers' College. It is now Kamagambo University, and the three degree programmes listed above are its own awards.
Does this mean Kamagambo is fully chartered?
No. A Letter of Interim Authority authorises an institution to operate as a university while it works toward a full charter. Kamagambo University is not yet fully chartered. According to the Commission for University Education, which advises on these awards, current status for any Kenyan university can be verified directly with the Commission.
What happens to students already enrolled?
Students enrolled under the former college continue their programmes without interruption. The university has committed to a seamless transition and to a clear pathway for new entrants.
15 September 2026 — Letter of Interim Authority granted

President William Ruto presented Kamagambo University with a Letter of Interim Authority at the Kisumu State Lodge on 15 September 2026, making it Kenya's 90th university and the third Adventist private university in the country after the University of Eastern Africa, Baraton and the Adventist University of Africa.

The next regular intake is January 2027. Regular intakes run in January, May and September; in-service intakes run in April, September and November. Apply at least four weeks before your chosen intake.
Degree tuition is KSh 78,000 per year for the Bachelor of Education in Arts, KSh 72,000 for the Bachelor of Arts in Theology with Entrepreneurship and KSh 82,000 for the Bachelor of Business Administration with Entrepreneurship. Diplomas range from KSh 54,000 to KSh 58,000 and certificates from KSh 36,000 to KSh 38,000.
